A starting salary of Rs 1.25 crore per annum to a Delhi student matches the average pay package of American software engineers but is still 40-50% more that what Indian techies working in the US earn.
“An average American software-engineer in the US, gets anything between $1,40,000 to $1,70,000… depending on which school has the graduate passed out from,” said Sanchit Vir Gogia, Chief Analyst and CEO of Greyhound Research.
