Reliance Industries is gearing up to enter the software services business and plans to take on India’s IT giants, as the energy-to-telecom conglomerate taps the growing potential of the industrial internet.
“If Jio is providing the connectivity and Reliance is the independent software vendor, that might make it complicated for other CIOs. Because to have one company as both ISP and ISV is a concentration of risk,” said Sanchit Vir Gogia, Chief Analyst and CEO of research & advisory firm Greyhound Research.
