Catch Greyhound Research and our Chief Analyst & Group CEO, Sanchit Vir Gogia at a panel discussion on How to build 100 smart cities in India.

What is the Discussion about?

The government has announced an allocation of Rs 7,060 crore for 100 smart cities in the Union Budget. This amount is for modernization of existing infrastructure and also for setting up new satellite cities that are self-sufficient. The initiative is aimed at reducing infrastructure strain in over- crowded cities.

Digitization and connectivity will be at the core in smart-enabling these cities. These cities will be the new business hubs, and will generate jobs. Smart cities will be knowledge hubs and will embody smart, eco, and learning. A good example is Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City (SSGKC).

So how is the IT industry preparing to tap this opportunity? What are the opportunities? What is the best way for the industry to collaborate (Public-Private partnership) with government to support this big and bold initiative?
