India may be for one of the fastest growing markets for Apple but when it comes to launches it does not figure on the iPhone maker’s map. iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will be available to customers in India beginning only from October 7 onwards.

“With Tim Cook coming to India, Apple had raised hopes on the company’s focus on the Indian market. Yet it was disappointing to see that India was not on the list of top 30 markets that will initially get the iPhone 7. They have done rather poorly for the Indian market especially after talking so much about India. This was their chance to turn the ship around and make India feel important,” said Sanchit Vir Gogia, Chief Analyst and CEO, Greyhound Research.
