As promised, the 2015 Union Budget provides a big fillip to electronics manufacturing in India. Custom duty has been reduced for 22 items, but so far the details have not been shared by the government.
Analysts also think the budget will improve domestic manufacturing in India. “Changes to CENVAT SAD Tax structure in Budget 2015 coupled with skills India will give a much needed shot in the arm to domestic manufacturing in India,” said Sanchit Vir Gogia, CEO and Chief Analyst, Greyhound Research.
