Hacking Of SIM Card By Spy Agencies Raises Fears Of Sensitive Documents Being Leaked

The hacking of SIM-card and digital security services providerGemalto by American and British spy agencies has raised fears that sensitive communications, by the Indian government and hundreds of domestic companies, may have been at the risk of being spied on.

“We believe that the biggest risk stands for the large number of Vodafone users in the country as the company has deployed Gemalto’s Near Field Communication services solutions to provide secure and convenient ‘wave and pay’ contactless transactions via mobile phone,” said By Sanchit Gogia, Chief Analyst & CEO at Greyhound Research.
