The acquisition of Geometric by HCL Technologies gives the latter a fillip to its Internet of Things (IoT) segment.
“The additional resources that HCL gets from this acquisition, coupled with Geometric’s ability to solve critical issues for engineering clients are huge positives,” said Sanchit Vir Gogia, Chief Analyst and CEO, Greyhound Research. While this area of business is small in terms of revenues, Geometric brings in solid muscle in automotive engineering, which with the likes of Tesla and others have started off the blocks, ahead of other sectors, he added.
