The majority of children in Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities in India want tablets for their personal use, while kids in Tier 3 and Tier 4 cities aspire for PCs (desktops/laptops), according to a study conducted by Greyhound Research for Dell India on 6,000 people from 40 cities.

Sanchit Vir Gogia, the chief analyst and CEO of Greyhound Research, said PC is still core to content creation. “The key findings from the study were that the PC is still relevant in India and the emerging cities will drive the next phase of growth.
