Enterprises from across the globe continue to wrestle with data expansion proliferating in terms of size, complexity and sources. In order to support this, IT teams are investing in IT systems to keep up with Data Quality (DQ) – whether delivered on-premise, or through managed services or cloud services. The need to invest is increasingly important to ensure end-user trust in critical enterprise applications and data. While most IT teams have dabbled in early forms of DQ initiatives like data relevance in application upgrades or database migrations, many continue to struggle with mature and complex Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives. Below is a quick list of questions that Greyhound Research received while helping a few clients define their MDM strategy in the ASEAN region.

- Do I leverage MDM across multiple functions in the company? Or should I start with a single function, prove the outcome and then extend to other functions?
