Industry body Nasscom projected software export growth in fiscal 2017-18 at 7-8% in constant currency, down from 8.6% last year.
“The numbers given on the growth rate are spot on and I think that is going to be the new normal for the next two years,” said Sanchit Vir Gogia, Chief Analyst & CEO at technology research and advisory firm Greyhound Research. “However, their numbers on net addition of 130,000-150,000 jobs this year seems bullish to me. I would expect that number to be 100,000 since company budgets are going to largely focus on reskilling.”
